I was born and raised in Iran and began painting at a very young age. Taking classes with my first teacher flourished my continuing passion for watercolor.
After receiving my masters’ degree in Biotechnology and working in that field for about 7 years, I decided to pursue my love and passion for the arts and, in particular, watercolor.
My paintings often reflect my connection, respect, love and appreciation for nature. These paintings of nature are gifts from our colorful life. Sharing the world in which we live in or the thoughts we experience, nature is a powerful tool to express our point of view. Nature’s colors combined with water media work together to enhance our artistic voice. The softness of watercolor and flowers make them special to use together and truly nourishes the soul by bringing happiness, love and peace into our lives.
I believe the essence of nature holds a special compassion for humans. It offers energy as a self-healing tool. By carrying the energy of the sun within, nature brings the innocent light into our lives. When painting fresh flowers, this positive energy with the ability to enhance, heal and transform is transferred into our spirits. Intuitively, fresh ideas flow from the brain to our hands, freeing our creativity and shaping our thoughts, allowing us to communicate through tangible and visible expressions.
I have workshops and classes for all ages to promote serenity via watercolor and guided visualization for the well-being of the individual or the group in my studio, Relaxing Arts. My students find the classes encouraging and inspirational. I enjoy watching them blossom in art along with me.
I have earned awards at regional levels and my work has been selected in local groups and solo art exhibits in the Washington D.C. area.
Reproductions of my paintings are available at this site and can be purchased in different sizes. The watermark, fine art america, will not appear on the purchased prints.
